For individuals whose recovery journey is grounded in faith, Celebrate Recovery (CR) provides a supportive and uplifting path forward. Recovery Connections SWVA holds regular Celebrate Recovery meetings at our downtown location in Southwest Virginia. These meetings are open to anyone in the community seeking healing in a Christ-centered, peer-supported environment.
Together We're Stronger
Founded in 1991, Celebrate Recovery is a faith-based, 12-step-informed recovery program that addresses the full range of hurts, habits, and hang-ups that people struggle with — from substance use and addiction to trauma, codependency, grief, and other life challenges. While it is grounded in Christian faith, Celebrate Recovery welcomes anyone who is seeking healing and is open to a spiritual component in their recovery.
CR meetings follow a structured format that includes worship, large group teaching, and small group sharing. Participants are encouraged to be honest, show grace, and support one another on their individual journeys.

Celebrate Recovery meetings at Recovery Connections SWVA are open to anyone in Southwest Virginia, regardless of where you are in your journey, what you’re struggling with, or whether you currently attend a church. You do not need to identify as a Christian to participate, although the program is explicitly faith-based. Celebrate Recovery is especially beneficial for:
